Someone’s In The Kitchen In Charleston
The best new idea to hit this charming old town in South Carolina is the “Charleston Entertains Kitchen Tour,” cooked up by a local historic preservation group. The tour lets visitors sample the city’s renowned hospitality in private homes.
This year’s house-hopping outing is on Sunday, November 16, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., and each $40 ticket not only gets you into six of Charleston’s most beautiful historic homes, but also lets you sample the specialties of six of the area’s best chefs. For example, at 70 Tradd Street (circa 1774), Robert Waggoner, executive chef at Charleston Grill, will dish up his Lowcountry classics.
Proceeds help the nonprofit Historic Charleston Foundation continue its work: preserving the town’s architecture, culture, and history. |
